Rule 4 (3) of the Revised PSAR Rules Dated 15 Dec. 2020 provides for the syllabus as follows:-
The training shall be for a minimum period of six working days. The training shall broadly include the following subjects, namely;-

2. Role and Functioning of Private Security Agencies:
   
   1. Fire Fighting
   2. Disaster/ Emergency Management protocol
   3. Security Duties
   4. Checking of various documents
   5. Information security
   6. Access Control
   7. Explosives, IEDs
   8. Anti Sabotage Checks (ASC)
   9. Security related equipments
   10. Communication Equipments
   11. Patrolling
   12. Post duties
3. Legal provisions:
   
   1. The Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 (29 of 2005) and its associated State Rules.
   2. Relevant Labour Laws
4. Management of Security Agencies:
   
   1. Uniform
   2. Training of personnel of private security agencies
   3. Documentation and records to be maintained by the licensee
   4. Data Sharing Protocol
5. Interface with public, Police and other departments:
   
   1. Interface with Public
   2. Liaison with police and other concerned Government Departments
6. Private Security Personnel – DO’s and DON’Ts (Conduct Rules)
